Some feel this looks a bit like an Audi and Volvo, but I personally feel this is all Chevy. These are sketches of what the all new model will look like.
My biggest criticism of the current model is that the tail light looks a bit cheap. GM was wise to borrow the Camaro design to make it more fashionable. In my book the Camero is a true winner
and all Chevy, this one will end up a winner too.....

Is it already time for a new Malibu?! If so, why does this look so dated already? And: Shouldn´t the Impala be the first car that gets updated??
We just have Chevy-badged Daewoos over here, so i am not in the picture about bigger Chevy sedans, but I always thought that the current Malibu is an eye-catcher looks great, whereas the Impala looks like an old car.

I agree that an Impala should have been in development before this and it would have been a lot easier to just rebadge the Pontiac G8.
The all new Malibu looks a lot like a Mercedes in some areas, which is both a good and bad thing. As to why they are speeding development on this model, most likely due to the treat of a Toyota comeback and the recent success of Korean companies.
The car world is becoming more of a difficult rat race each year:: giving consumers too many choices and over work for the designers
and engineers.
Some French designers killed themselves due to the mounting pressure to become #1
